Our first Circus Explored Youth Exchange in 2026 brought young circus delegates to Derry for Carnival of Colours Festival, which took place from the 26th to the 28th of June, organised and hosted by In Your Space Circus.
Young participants from Cloughjordan Circus Club, Galway Community Circus, and In Your Space Circus had the opportunity to meet, collaborate, and connect through their shared love of circus. Over the course of three days, they took part in a diverse programme of physical training, skill sharing and creative exploration. The exchange not only strengthened participants’ technical circus skills but also fostered new friendships and meaningful connections among young people from across the island of Ireland.
The Carnival of Colours Festival is In Your Space Circus’s annual festival celebrating Circus and Street Arts.
