Dublin Circus Project hosted a seasonal gathering to celebrate their youth circus and outreach participants and mark their 15th anniversary! Dublin Circus Project Winter Gathering is funded by Creative Ireland through the Circus Explored Initiative & supported by DCC, Base Pizza, Stella Cinema and The Button Factory.
On Wednesday 4th of December young people were greeted at the entrance by amazing fire performers. They then got to enjoy a spectacular circus show featuring breathtaking partner acrobatics, mesmerizing multi-hoop and aerial performances. Throughout the evening, there were delicious treats, including pizza generously sponsored by Base Pizza and popcorn gifted by Stella Cinema. Finally, we ended the celebration on a high note with birthday cake and lively dancing, making it a night to remember!
DCP’s Creative Director, Nicola Moran believes “Circus is an amazing tool for social change, it’s not only about the skill, it also values diversity, it is an antidote for isolation and division. Circus spaces hold safe space for everyone to build trust, collaboration and resilience. Community is not a luxury, it is essential to our well being. This is why an evening of coming together to eat and enjoy circus is so important. Supporting and investing in human life creates a positive ripple outward.”
